On November 23 of 2003, to enforce the Plant’s principle on emergency actions, i.e. always be well prepared, work hard to be compatible with each other, commanded by one voice, coordinate with each other, protect the mass, protect the environment, Qinshan Second Power Plant organized its second time exercise of emergency actions.

The purpose of emergency action exercise is to test the effectiveness of emergency plans, completeness of emergency preparations, the adaptability of the emergency capabilities and the cooperativity of the emergency persons of the nuclear power plants. The exercise lasted about two hours, covered the three cases of accident, namely emergency standby, plant emergency and field emergency. The exercise proves that our emergency plans, emergency preparations and relevant implementation process are feasible and effective. Our goals on exercise were met.
