At 4:25 am of April 4,2003,the first unit disconnected with the power grid, hence began the 101 refueling outage. After 62 days and nights of hard work, by June 4,2003,all the scheduled maintenances, inspection and tests were completed. At 22:47 pm of the same day, the unit successfully connected with the grid at its first trial, bringing the 101 outage to the end, 18 days ahead of schedule. During the 101 outage, we carried out about 5700 items of preventive maintenance, in-service inspection, performance tests, periodical tests and corrective maintenances. We made 87 items of technical renovation, replaced 24 groups of fuel assembles.
Through this outage, we solved some potential defects in design and installation of unit one, and some vital defects detected in operation, so that safe and stable operation during the following fuel cycle was better ensured. Furthermore, our maintenance and operation team had themselves well examined and exercised in the outage. They learnd lots of knowledge and many experiences from the outage, which are of great significances to the maintenances and operation in the future. During the outage, we discovered lots of outstanding maintenance technicians, they are great assets of our Company. In terms of bidding process and management of contractors, through this outage we also have found ways more appropriate to our Company that can be referred to in our future work.
